What is on the menu ?
Lamb Roghan Josh
A highly spiced ( variety of spices ) curry in a rich tomato sauce with Lamb as a star ingredient, using Kashmiri chilli to achieve the authentic red colour and lots of green cardamom. It is very flavoursome and a perfect comfort food. The lamb is from Spearings Butchers. Slowly cooked for hours until it falls apart. It is suitable for home freezing.
It costs £11 and can serve 2 people.
Hachis Parmentier
It is a classic French dish and it is really a posh cottage pie. I am using beef cheeks instead of beef mince. And I have made my own beef stock to go with it. The beef cheeks are slowly cooked for about 4 hours till the meat falls apart. It is assembled and topped with mashed potatoes and grated cheese, then baked. Proper comfort food and a nice change to the usual minced meat cottage pie. It is suitable for home freezing.
It costs £10 and may serve 2 people.
The best ever homemade chocolate brownies
They are gooey and rich and indulgent! If you have not tried it, now is a good time. They are a proper treat and can serve 2 people. Suitable for home freezing.

Our next Open Garden
Our next Open Garden date is Saturday 17th October 2026. 11am – 3pm.
Most places within Parvey Garden are fully accessible for wheelchair users.
Entry fee is £5 with children under 13 free. Dogs are welcome on a lead.
